Magic Carpet Ride Script
Nader: Whoa Avan! What is that you are riding on?
Avan: Well you see Nader, it is my new invention called, The Magic Carpet Ride!
Nader: Oh wow!! How does it work?
Avan: It’s very simple actually, you just place this magical carpet on a flat surface, sit crisscross apple sauce on the center, and sit back and say “show me the world”. Within seconds you will find yourself soaring through the sky.
Nader: Wait a minute, what if I fall off?!
Avan: No need to worry! There is an automatic locked invisible shield around the whole carpet! You won’t fall off!
Nader: This is too good to be true! You are telling me that I can fly at any time and anywhere?
Avan: Yes sir, but you must follow some rules.
Nader: What are those rules?
Avan: You have to be 32 inches or taller!
Nader: Awesome! I meet the standards. Is that it?
Avan: Yes it is! Would you like to take it for a ride high in the sky?
Nader: I thought you were never going to ask!
*Avan helps Nader get onto the magic carpet*
*Nader fly’s for 10 seconds*
Nader: I need to get one of these ASAP!

Avan: Just call 1-800-MAGIC! If you order it right now we will include a t-shirt for free. Shipping and handling not included.

The Cloud vs. Ownership

Some pros to the The Cloud, is that it is exactly what a lot of people want. People want to be able to access fast WiFi because many people use up their own internet speed and they do not want to pay that extra money every moth just for internet. The thing is, I do not think that there are enough "Cloud" WiFi services around. I think that if this was a more known and it was a bigger production then it would be really useful. I read some reviews about the app and some people were complaining that the server was "overstretched" or just simply "would not connect". Small technical problems like these can be a bad impact to this production.

I think that WiFi like this could be useful to some cars. Fast internet connection could be really useful when you are on the road and in the middle of nowhere and you really need navigation. I think that WiFi like this can work on buses, trains, subway, planes, etc, basically any type of public transportation.

Stelarc

I think the way Stelarc treats the human body is very interesting. I personally do not like that he is messing with his body, for example with the surgically attached ear to his left arm. It is not that it is gross or disgusting but to me its disrespectful because I do not believe that he should not be messing with body parts and especially not be abusing his body like he has. I would say it is very unsettling because he is doing things that a lot of people have not done or seen before. I do not think what our idea of our body need to evolve. What you were born with should not be changed. Unless what you are born with is fatal, but other than that I think we are at a good standing point of "our body".

Contrast:
http://www.altadesigndistrict.com/
The contrast on the home page of this website really matches well with the font color. They used a black and white picture and added 2 colors to it and they used those two same colors to write their text on a grey text box.

Repetition:
http://www.lucidbrand.com/
This website used repetition a few times on the home page. They used it on the text box's for "Selected Projects".

Alignment:
http://www.blackboxdesign.com.au/
The alignment is set up very organized on the website. It really brings your attention to the center of the screen because everything is east to read. Also they are all some what in the same box shape.

Proximity:
http://www.webvolve.com/
There is proximity on the footer of this website. All the navigation information is grouped together in one section on the page.

Fake Company Ideas

I am thinking to make a fake company for magic carpet rides at Disneyland. I think this will really match the Princess Jasmine part of the park.

I also am thinking of making a company were you can rent an Oompa Loompa for day to make you various type of chocolates and candies.

PRISM

The PRISM program is actually a very smart idea and can have a big impact on others. PRISM really does not have an impact on me because I know that I have nothing to hide in my personal accounts. Although I do think that it can offend and frighten others because the government has easy access to their information. But really I see the point of all this, which is for safety to the people in our nation.

Photoshop experience

My favorite thing about Photoshop was making GIFs. I Always see gifs on the internet and i have always wondered how people made them. Now that I learned how to do it, it is really cool because I could make one if I wanted to. Also another thing that I liked was making our album covers. I liked that we could crop our selves out and make so many different effects.

Steven Johnson- WHERE GOOD IDEAS COME FROM

TED Talk:
I think that Steven Johnson is a very good speaker because I was listening and comprehending everything that he was saying. He gave stories to help the viewers get a better picture to understand what he is talking about.

Animated video:
This was very different than the TED talk although it is the same subject said by the same person. I did really enjoy the animated video just because it created a picture in my mind and everyone watching it has the same picture in your mind. I also liked that the this video was really easy to go along with, I was not confused or lost at all during this video.

CD Cover Ideas

I like how the CD cover has a lot of color variety and it is very flashy. If i was shopping for a CD, a CD cover like this would be very catchy and would be brought to my attention because of the bright colors. I also like that the CD was a black spiral and along the spiral the names of the songs are listed on it in order.

Something that I really like about the front of this CD cover is that the main focus is the 4 band members in the front and that it is really busy behind them with other people and objects. I also like the idea of how the song names are listed on the back of the CD cover.
